Daman Club - Responsible Gaming
Daman Club responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.
Play within your limits
At Daman Club, every session should feel like entertainment, not a financial strategy. Set a personal budget before you deposit, decide the maximum rupee amount you are willing to spend in a week, and treat that figure as a hard ceiling. Only use discretionary income: never fund gameplay through PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM using rent money, EMI payments, or borrowed funds.
Keeping a simple note on your phone, date, deposit amount, session outcome, takes under one minute and builds the habit of financial awareness. If you finish a session ahead, consider withdrawing your winnings rather than reinvesting them immediately. Taking regular breaks, even a 15-minute pause mid-session, helps you reassess whether you are still playing for fun rather than out of compulsion.
Warning signs of problem gambling
Problem gambling rarely appears overnight; it builds in small steps. Common behavioural signals include spending more money or time than planned, feeling restless when not playing, and constantly thinking about your next session. Financial red flags include borrowing money from family, skipping household bills, or making impulsive UPI top-ups via PhonePe or GPay late at night when your judgement is low.
Emotional signs, guilt after playing, hiding your activity from loved ones, or gambling to escape stress or anxiety, are equally serious. If you recognise three or more of these patterns over a two-week period, that is a clear signal to act now rather than wait. Use the limit and self-exclusion tools described below, and consider speaking to a professional.
Deposit, loss and time limits
Daman Club provides built-in controls that let you cap how much you spend and how long you play. Log in to your account, navigate to Responsible Gaming under Account Settings, and choose from three limit types. A deposit limit restricts how much you can add to your wallet per day, week, or month, for example, setting ₹500 per week creates a firm ceiling regardless of whether you pay via PhonePe, GPay, BHIM UPI, or net banking. A loss limit stops play automatically once your net losses in a defined period reach your chosen amount.
A time limit ends your session after a set number of minutes, showing an on-screen alert before the session closes. All limits take effect within 24 hours of being set. Reductions apply immediately, while increases to an existing limit require a mandatory 72-hour cooling period, a deliberate safeguard against impulsive changes made during a losing streak.
Self-exclusion and cool-off
If you need a stronger break than a session time-out, Daman Club offers two escalating options. A cool-off period pauses your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off you cannot deposit, place wagers, or receive promotional offers, but you can withdraw any existing balance. This is a useful first step if you feel your play is becoming too frequent.
Self-exclusion is a longer-term commitment: you can exclude yourself for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or permanently. To activate either option, go to Responsible Gaming in your account settings and follow the on-screen steps; the restriction is applied immediately and cannot be reversed during the chosen period. Any attempt to open a new Daman Club account while under self-exclusion will result in closure and a full refund of deposits. We recommend self-exclusion if cool-off periods alone have not been enough to restore control.
